a brief discussion plastic mixer’s application and maintenance
Plastic mixer is used for blending and mixing of different kinds of plastic particles. The materials won’t melt, volatilize or deteriorate during mixing process.
Structure of plastic mixer
1. Integral structure of base part and driving unit. Motor is installed at the bottom of mixer barrel, which directly drives the blending blades by continuous power transmission.
2. Material unload reducer is installed at the bottom. During working, the electric motor installed on the base drives the worm rod, which transfers power to the blending blades in mixer barrel and enables the blades to rotate clockwise. Material is then unloaded from barrel.
3. Reducer is the main driving unit of mixer. It is installed on the bottom of barrel. Shaft is hollowed and equipped with fixing spline. Blending blades are dismountable.
4. Mixer barrel is vertical type, made of stainless steel. Blending blades are fixed inside the barrel.
Maintenance of mixer
1. Inspect the condition of parts regularly, usually once or twice every month. Primary inspection targets are worm rod, bearing and oil seals. In case worn-out or malfunction in rotation is found, necessary reparing or replacement must be done to ensure normal working.
2. Electric control parts must be kept clean and sensitive. Repair in time in case of malfunction.
3. Take good care while mounting and dismounting the blending blades to avoid any deforming or damage.
Clean the mixer barrel after stop of running. Use brush to wipe out the remaining powder left in machine parts, and cover the mixer body with cloth in case of long term stop.
