Product features of PVC corrugated tile and synthetic resin

Summary:
PVC corrugated tile, also known as plastic steel tile, is mainly made of Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), adding anti-UV and other chemical agents as auxiliary material in certain formula. It is an ideal substitution of traditional color steel tile. Adopting multi-layer co-extrusion technology, the surface of PVC tile is covered with an anti-aging layer, which increases its weather adaptability and color duration. Bottom surface is coated with abrasion resistant layer, providing advantages of fire-proof, corrosion resistant, etc. PVC tile contains no asbestos in formula and has bright color. All the features above makes it well applied in buiding of large-span gate structure factory warehouse. Resin tile can be divided by natural and synthetic type, among which synthetic resin tile is most commonly seen in the market. It is processed through co-extrusion technology, with PVC and ASA as main material, as well as other chemical additives (ASA is a ternary co-polymer of acrylonitrile, styrene and acrylate).
Features of PVC tile:
1. Economic in cost
2. Fire resistant - Oxygen index (OI) ≧32, belongs to fire retardant material
3. Corrosion resistant – strongly against chemical corrosive, 3 times longer life than zinc sheet
4. Toughness – against impact, and stretching, not easy for embrittlement
5. Weather resistant – anti UV agent is added in the material formula, which ensures long service life
6. Low noise – 30 db lower comparing with metal roof tile when raining
7. Low weight –easy for transportation and installation
8. Attractive appearance – bright and versatile color
9. Evnironment harmony –no asbestos content, no release of carcinogen
Disadvantages:
1. Weak stability against light and heat
2. Very close difference between melting and degrading point, which increases processing difficulties. Chemical additive in formula is required to solve this problem.
3. Easy to fade while being used outdoors
Features of resin tile
Color durability - Surface of synthetic resin tile is made from imported engineering resin with super high weather resistence, which ensures its color stability even after long time exposing in ultra violet ray, moisture, high, low temperature and other harsh environment. Superior load bearing capacity is also proved through actual experiments in low temperature area. No surface damage or breaking is detected for synthetic resin tile on the roof with constant snow cover. According to test result, with 660mm support spacing, no crack or damage is seen on resin tile under 150kg load.
Excellent sound insulation – Testing result proved good noise absorbing effect of synthetic resin tile under severe weather conditions like blast rain or strong wind.
Good corrosion resistence – No chemical reaction is detected after 24 hours soaking in salt, soda or acid under 60% concentration, therefore can be applied in constructions in coastal areas where acid rain fall is commonly seen.
Fire retardant –According to tests by fire-proof authorities under national standard GB8624-2006, fire resistence index ≧ B1 level.
Strongly against impact –impact testing with 1 kg iron ball free fallingfrom 3 meters altitude onto the resin tile, no crack is seen on surface.
Synthetic resin tile price is a bit higher than PVC tile, but has longer service life, better weather resistence and color durability.
